Happy Birthday to me!!! Happy Birthday tooooo meeeeeeeeee! Just kidding, it’s not my birthday today, it was about a month ago….BUT I saw this stuff online last week and instantly knew I had to have it! I have heard of Glossier but until now had never used any of their products. I had heard about their skin salve “Bomb Dotcom” but they never really had any scents that I thought I would enjoy until they came out with “Birthday”. It is mean to mimic Milk Bar’s famous birthday cake. I’ve never had that but I’m guessing it comes pretty damn close!

I was actually influenced to buy this from Influenster.com, Which is a website where you can join up and for your reviews and thoughts, they send you free products, it’s pretty awesome. Feel free to use my link if you’d like Sign up for Influenster here . I bought this directly on Glossier’s website . The site description for this stuff is as follows:

hydrating, long-lasting, multipurpose lip and skin salve that’s packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish and repair dry, chafed skin. The dense, waxy texture stays in place to seal in moisture wherever it goes. Opt for Original, or choose from five mood-enhancing flavors: Birthday (inspired by Milk Bar’s famous cake, with subtle shimmer), Rose(with a barely-there pink tint), Cherry (with a sheer, juicy red tint), Mint, and Coconut. The lip-smacking 11-year-old in you is freaking out right now. Collect them all!

It comes in a 0.5oz squeeze tube for $12USD and even the freaking tube is cute, especially if you are holosexual!! So as you can see from the description it comes in multiple scents, and guess what, the flavor matches!! I literally eat this stuff off my own damn lip :/ That’s probably not a good thing, but hey, that means it tastes good! OK so out of the tube you can see below that Birthday does have a slight shimmer to it and really I’d describe it as tiny tiny glitters that are very smooth and not gritty on the lips. It applies really smoothly and again…smells and tastes just like a vanilla cupcake. The balm wears for at least a couple of hours too. It looks pretty on, just clear with some light catching grown up glitter (yes, I said grown up glitter!).

So not only does this look smell and taste awesome out of the tube, but it comes in the super cute and holo tube that makes it fun to look at too! Glossier mailed it quickly and it came in a really cute and reusable bubble pouch along with some cute stickers. You can also use this on dry chapped skin elsewhere, but I’d be careful because of the glitter in this one. I definitely give this an A+, I highly recommend it, AND it’s pretty affordable at 12 bucks. I’m definitely going to be buying more.

  1. Here is the complete ingredient list: Petrolatum, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cera Alba/Beeswax/Cire d’Abeille, Lanolin, Aroma/Flavor, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Silica, Tocopherol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sodium Saccharin, Tin Oxide, Limonene, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)

I think the only one that MIGHT have coconut oil is the coconut flavor, but even then I’m pretty sure it’s just flavoring and not actual coconut oil 🙂 You should try some!
